Clinton Leads in Ohio

According to a Quinnipiac poll of voters in swing state Ohio, Hillary Clinton is the preferred President from all Republican and Democrat candidates. Had John Kerry won Iowa, he would have become President. As it happened, he went down by a few hundred thousand votes.

Democrat voters prefer Clinton over Barack Obama by 25 points. Obama secured 13% whilst John Edwards was on 9%.

Against lead Republicans, Clinton would beat Rudy Giuliani 46-43, and John McCain 46-42.

A Clinton spokesperson said that this poll proves "...that Hillary can win and is today winning.

The poll took place between January 23 and 28 with 1,305 Ohio voters.

It was a disappointing result for Dennis Kucinich who hails from Cleveland. His spokesperson said that "they polled the wrong people." Hmm.
